Behind Sebastian Vettel's Tribute Trailer.

I remember talking to my friend about Formula 1, a few days after getting into the sport, and she kept mentioning this guy named "Vettel". Now you see, at that time I only knew about a quarter of the grid, the young drivers, so I really had no idea who that was. Oh but little did I know that a month later this "Vettel" guy would end up changing the course of my life.

I don't even remember how it happened, really, but it did. One day I just woke up and chose pain I guess? Just kidding. I believe it started as I was catching up with content I missed from earlier that season, to me straight up searching "Formula 1 Vettel". And before you know it I was watching "Sebastian Vettel Funny Moments" on YouTube.

Every little thing about him got me so interested. From the way he drove on track, to how he interacted with people outside the sport. He was so entertaining and charming yet so simple and wholesome at the same time. But the final nail in the coffin was finding out about his advocacies and how he would use his platform to bring awareness to important topics. He was just so easy to admire. Finding out that he was retiring, just as I got into the sport, was devastating to say the least. It was so hard to accept that there were only a handful of races left with him on the grid and that I would probably never get to see him compete in the sport in person.

He has made such a huge impact in my life, at this point, and I couldn't just let him leave without doing anything in return. Just in luck, I was already working on an audio edit for the Formula 1 Theme Song at the time and so after some planning I ended up deciding on making a simple Sebastian Vettel Trailer.

Editing Process:

I scoured through the internet for all Sebastian Vettel videos I could find that would fit the concept I was going for. At one point I even reached the end of Red Bull's YouTube Channel.

I worked on the trailer version of the Formula 1 Theme Song for a few days, then pulled an all-nighter to finish the video edit just in time for the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Seb means so much to me, he has inspired, helped and saved me in so many ways and so making this tribute video is the least I could do to repay him. It's definitely one of the best works I've made so far and I believe the main factor was just how dedicated and passionate I am to the sport, and who made that possible? None other than Sebastian Vettel himself.

The ultimate goal in life is to work in Formula 1 one day, may it be with Mr. Vettel or not, hopefully with. It seems as though the dream is so impossible, but one thing that keeps me going is the radio message of Seb's Engineer, Rocky, to him during the 2010 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

"You just wait, sunshine. You just wait."

I know the time will come where the sleepless nights and breakdowns will be worth it. Until then, I'll keep working hard, practicing and dreaming. I won't let anything stop me.
